What's been going on...

Ryan got PRK Surgery.  Funny story actually, he went in to get Lasik, and expect a full recovery the next day.  However, as he was seconds away from the laser shooting his eye ball, the Dr. stops and says he thinks he should reconsider, and get PRK instead.  WHAT!!!  This totally freaked him out, and so of course he was not going to get Lasik when the Dr. is sitting there advising against it.  So, instead of seeing and feeling great the next day, he was pretty miserable for about a week, and still can't see as good as he could with his glasses, but within another 2 weeks or so, he will be loving his 15/20 vision and all the taxiing around, missed work, eye pain, etc. will be worth it!
Noah loved watching the surgery with me...

Paisley on the other hand sat with her eyes closed and ears covered in the waiting area far away from the window, she wanted nothing to do with watching such things!
However, she has immensely enjoyed wearing Daddy's old glasses.  She likes to play "school" with them!
Noah has played lots with his buddy "Bracky"...
They line up cars...
They enjoy the sun, and eating popsicles!

They play superheros...

and Rowan smiles all the time...
Paisley is obsessed with having "Sales" with her friends...the splash pad ended up being a great money maker for her.  Otter pops for .25 cents and they all made about $4 bucks...not bad!  She was loving every second of it!
Rowan got her hears pierced...it was sad.  But SOOO cute!
Paisley of course again was covering eyes and ears and felt horrible for Rowan!
Yes we are at the mall in our swimming attire...I know...Ryan called me white trash...we were on the way to the pool, please don't judge.
There's a big smile before she knew what was coming!
I'm not going to post the picture I took after it was done, I deleted it.  It was too sad, but I am happy to say that after her traumatic 30 seconds, she was fine and looks so dang cute with her little diamond studs!
We had a quick little adult get away with some dear friends.  We saw the Little Mermaid at the Tuacahn Theater.  It was pretty dang cool, I really enjoyed it and had some pretty great company too!
We were literally front row, and if we stood up would have been part of several scenes!

King Triton after the show posed with us...wow he was sweaty!!

We also all went golfing, swam by the pool, ate lots of good food...it was great times!

Young Family Reunion 2001

This was the first official "Young Family Reunion" that I have been to.  It was so much fun!  It took place at Terri and Kerri's house, and it couldn't have been a better place to all join together.  The theme centered around this:
There was an endless cookie jar...all sorts of different cookies, it just kept getting refilled.  I think Grandma Young made about 42 dozen cookies to prepare for this, as well as several other people who brought their favorite cookies to add to the jars.
Here is a picture of just the grand kids (spouses not included), with the great grand kids.  What an awesome group!
I love how Grandma was smack in the middle holding little Rowan...so sweet!
We had a talent show, the Hemming gandkids all sang "Rise and Shine and Give God Your Glory!" with actions.  It was really cute!

Jared took the kids on rides in the cool Jeep around the race track.  He was driving so fast and crazy, I got a little nervous but the kids were LOVING it!

There was a belly flop competition...Brad might just have taken it with this one...haha!
Wow Paisley, you look so graceful here!
 Hooray!
The kids swam for hours just in pure heaven!
Great cousins and friends!

 Ben and Tanner...lovin' the cheese!

We held a silent auction for Stanley and Logan...2 sweet cousins who have been diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy.  With all the different donations, we raised over $4,000 to help with medical expenses!!!  Definitly the best part of the day to hear that news.  Such sweet boys, our prayers will continue to be with them and hope that a a cure is found soon!
Steve and LeeAnn were presented with a beautiful quilt in thanks to Steve for his service in Iraq last year.

Grandma was crowned as the cookie monster!
One of Paisley's second cousins showed up in almost the same dress, how random in that!

Such a fun trip!  We also went white water rafting the day before, which was so much fun and hopefully can get some pics of that soon!  So many good people!  And a huge thank you to Jared and Jodi for letting us stay at their house!  Forever Young!

Rowan was wearing an outfit that Paisley wore when she was little the other day and I decided to take a few shots...

Here is Paisley...they have a similar look but are pretty different I think.  Do you love the spit up all over her shirt?  Paisley was a spit up queen! lol.
Fast forward to last night...Paisley and Kimball put on quite the performance for us, it was so funny, I was dying laughing!  Do you love Paisley's outfit she picked out?

Now on to Noah, he is a funny little character these days.  The last 4 nights or so he has requested that he sleep with his sunglasses.  He wont let me put them on him though, he has to do it himself when I've gone.  It is hilarious to see him walk into my bedroom half alseep in the morning wearing his PJ's and sunglasses.  What a sight to start my day!
Here he is at nap time with them on upside down.  What a silly boy.
