St. George fun!

This year we have been planning Paisley's birthday for a long time, we were going to go on a girls trip to St. George with her good friend Jaylynn, and my good friend Jess, and see Aladdin at Tuacahn.  The girls have birthdays a week apart, and they were thrilled to do this for their birthday and forgo a big party.  Here they are all ready for the road trip!  Of course, they did everything with their new American Dolls, McKenna and Lizzy.

The first night we went to Olive Garden, the girls thought it was so fancy and were ecstatic to be able to use big girl glasses!  I must admit, they were so cute and a lot of fun to hang out with.

Paisley took this pic. not great lighting but Ill take it!  The only pic of Jess and I, boy did we have fun together!!!  Glad you could snuggle with me the first night Jess, since our girls insisted they sleep together!
After dinner, we headed to the Show!!

Really...BEST.SHOW.EVER.  Go see it if you can!  It was my favorite Tuacahn show yet.
Such a good cast, they were perfect!!
They stayed up until 1am that morning just so excited about the show and playing with their dolls!  Lets just say they slept in good the next morning.
The next day we got to spend a lot of time with our precious AnnDee Mae!  We took them in for some pedicures before a long day of swimming. (Big mistake, we should have swam first...duh!!!  They were all scraped off their toes by the end of swimming, big bummer.)  But the girls LOVED doing this!

We swam, then got ready for Jay and Jess to go to Tuacahn for the next show, while the girls and I got to spend some more time hanging out before AnnDee had to go home.  It was so sad to say goodbye to her.  She is such a sweet wonderful little girl.  We love her so much and I just see so much of her mommy in her.

We had such a fun trip, that we might have to make this a tradition!!!  Until next year Georgy!

Happy Birthday Paisley Jane.!!

Meet Makenna...
I have been telling Paisley since she was 4 years old that she had to be 6 to get an American Doll.  She could hardly wait to turn this magical age and be old enough to care for such a special doll.  And it worked out really well that the doll of the year was Mckenna, a gymnast!!  How perfect for my little Paisley girl!  I don't think she has ever loved a gift as much as this.  She takes her everywhere, tries to match outfits with her as much as she can, styles her hair all day long, they even sleep in matching pajamas and slippers.  It has been so fun to watch her get such joy out of her doll.  That day, since we were going to St. George I didn't go all out like I usually do, but she had a few friends over to play in the sprinklers in the back, then we had the family over for cake and ice cream later that evening.  It was such a great, easy, day.  I wasn't running around stressing over a million things that needed to be done for a big extravagant party.  I think we might just have to do this more often!

She knew just the pose she wanted to do in this picture...both her and McKenna in their straddle of course! She got lots of accessories for Mckenna from both grandma and grandpas, cute clothes, art stuff...it was a great birthday!

Right now I love the age she is at.  She is my little best friend.  I love to take her shopping with me, go out to lunch, and just hang out and laugh with her.  She is really a lot of fun.  She is also a great big sister to her younger brother and sister.  She is really good at "babysitting" i.e...keeping Rowan happy so I can get cleaning, laundry, etc. done.  She has such a cute, contagious laugh that I just LOVE!  She is outgoing and so friendly to everyone she knows.  She is my special, sweet girl, and I love her so much!!  Happy Birthday PJ!!

Disney Land!!!

What a wonderful trip we had all together with the whole Hemming Family once again!  This time around, we hit up the beach on the first day we got there in the afternoon.  We took a nice little stroll down to the pier, then got some yummy fish tacos at a little place right off the beach.  As I was looking through the binoculars they have on the pier I was 3 dolphins jumping out in the ocean, I was so thrilled about that!  It was so much fun, even though Rowan threw up all over herself, like A LOT, and we had to spray her and the stroller off at the beach showers, we still had a great time!

Thanks to Aunt Rebecca for the extra clothes for Rowan, she would have been cruisin' in her diaper otherwise!  Look at that happy face once she got out all the yucks in her tummy!  I see two front teeth about to poke through!
Noah made alot of crazy faces on this trip for some reason...such a goof ball.
Andy couldn't resist joining in on the silly face fun.

Eatin' some tacos...cute people.
DISNEY LAND!!!  Our first day...

We waited forever to see all the princesses and other characters throughout the days there.  Rapunzel was well worth the wait.  She was PERFECT!!  Mickey Mouse even gave her one wish when she came to live at Disney Land, and that was to have her hair back.  She told us when it wasn't braided it was REALLY 70 feet long...wow.  Paisley was in awe...

Rowans second favorite, I think she liked Peter Pan the best.
She needed lots of naps, but didn't take them very well.  It made things really...fun.

Get a room!!
What a pretty girl!
We love Grandma!!!
Paisley got chosen to be a Jedi warrior!  Noah was extremely jealous.

We had to get a picture by the house of course.  A Hemming must.
Breakfast...on our way back for day 2 of Disney fun.
Huh????
This picture sums up the trip for Andelyn.  She did not want to go on ANYTHING.  Poor Brad and Rebecca, they were a bit frustrated.  I will NEVER forget stupid Shannon on the Ferris wheel...dang Disney Land worker who wanted to parent for us...grrrrr.  It's kind of funny looking back now on it though, at least we can laugh about it now.
Star Tours Ride!!!  Definitely Noah's favorite ride for SURE!!  He couldn't get enough of it.  He chose a pack of little Star Wars figurines for his toy to buy there.  It was so fun to see his excitement about these things!
Can you tell they are brother and sister?

Toy Story Ride!!!  I scored mega high points here with Rowan.
We are trying to be bugs...in Bugs Life land.  My favorite part was the 3D show here.  So fun!
More characters for Paisley's book.  She was so determined to fill every page in her book with autographs, and she did.  It was fun for her to do this, she got so excited every time she saw someone.  This was probably one of her favorite parts of the trip.  Her favorite ride was California Screaming and Splash Mountain.
Of course we had to have lunch with the princesses.  It is always so much fun and the girls just die over seeing them all come and talk with them over lunch!

Belle was FLAWLESS!!!  Never seen such amazing skin in my life.  Jealous.  Lets just say, the rest of the princesses weren't as great.  At all.  There must have been a lot of "subs" that day, it didn't matter though.  The girls still thought they were all amazing, so that's what counts.
Cousins are the best.
They were being so silly and having so much fun.

My new favorite picture.  Love it!

Monsters Inc. Ride...

Grandma and Grandpa treated everyone to a Build a Bear/Build a Ride.  Maybe this was their favorite part...gosh lots of favorite things.  Noah of course made his as close to a look alike as "Bumblebee" as he could.
And Paisley got a totally cool bear whom she named "Mia Peace and Love".

Waiting for the fantastic "World of Color" show to start at California Adventure.  Truly Truly AMAZING.  How anyone thinks, or can be brilliant enough to put that together is simply genius.  Unbelievable.  My favorite thing was this show.  Loved it.
We spent Sunday going to a church close by, then hitting up the beach.  Unfortunately it was very cold and windy at Newport, and within a half hour I think we were all freezing and ready to head back to the hotel.  By the time we got every one cleaned off, and back to the hotel it was hot and sunny, so we ended up spending the afternoon swimming at the pool instead.  It was a bit of a bummer, I was really looking forward to the beach, but we still had a great time.  Later that day we shopped around Downtown Disney and got some great food at Cheesecake Factory.
Day 4 (last day) of Disney Land...
Donald and Minnie playing around teasing Paisley.

We stayed out as late as we could that last night, but the summer crowds started in heavy on our last day, and everyone was pretty beat.  So we finished off on Pinocchio and Peter Pan before saying goodbye.
